AgriPlanner Training

The Alabimi Bhezakhaya – Agri Planner programme is funded by Coronation Fund Managers.

Community gardeners were selected by Alabimi Bhezakhaya to attend the AgriPlanner Training Programme. These gardeners are from the areas of Khayelitsha and Gugulethu in Cape Town, Western Cape.

These gardener’s supply their fresh produce on a weekly basis to Abalimi for the Harvest of Hope Project. The Harvest of Hope Project is a community fresh produce market that sells the vegetables collected from the farmers/gardeners at a pre-determined price.

The main topics of the training were:

  • Costing and pricing of farming inputs
  • Marketing of farms,
  • Sourcing markets for produce
